Need a 48 Hour Day Please

Hubby & his buddy packed up our camper and have gone off blueberry picking. My two grandchildren that I babysit regularly are off at day camp. You would think that with being home alone with just the dogs and cats, I would have all kinds of time on my hands to get all the things done that I wanted to get done. NOT! I had forgotten how long it actually takes me to complete normal day to day activities when I have no one to assist me. Don't ever get in a car accident and end up with permanent impairments.

I have designed another pattern for another dishcloth and got some help from the wonderful members at Rachel's yahoo group. I had frogged it three times, I think I was being too picky and hard on myself, so asked on the group for a test knitter and I was bombarded with members volunteering to assist me. So if it works out I hopefully will have another pattern to share.

It will probably be awhile before I sit down and try and design another one as my son stopped at the postal outlet to pick up my parcels. Living in a rural location means our letter mail is delivered by independent contractor and any parcels, registered mail etc means I need to get someone to drive me all the way into town, or if I get lucky, like today, I can reach my son or daughter in law at work and they will pick up the parcels on their way home for me.

The boxes contained the yarn I had ordered from Elann to make up the Sun Ray Shawl for my granddaughters for Christmas. In the other box was the Riviera Cotton Chenille that I had ordered from Mona's online store. I am going to use this to make up some bath sets using the pattern called Sea foam towels that was originally published in the Interweave Knits, Fall 2006 issue. It is now available on the free download page at knitting daily. The other box contained the nylon netting spools that I had ordered from Knits and Bits by Linda for my kitchen scrubby patterns as well as the patterns I use to make bath puffs. I am hoping that I will have a few of the projects completed before some of the other cotton chenille colors that I ordered arrive. *smile* The other package contained some stitch holders that I had bid on at E Bay. They are absolutely adorable.

Elann Yarns

Cotton Chenille
Nylon Netting Spools

Stitch Markers

We had another crazy day of weather, sun shine all morning and into the early afternoon. Then all of a sudden the black clouds roll in and we get a 30 minute thunder storm that blows over and back out comes the sun.

Now I just need to figure out how to get 48 hour days so that I can keep up with all the things I need to do and want to do. *smile*

Beautiful, beautiful yarn and stitch markers!! Can I come and visit, and we'll sit and knit?

I saw that pattern for the Seafoam Towels, and I downloaded that, too! They are gorgeous, aren't they? I can't wait to see how they turn out with this lovely yarn you have. I haven't even started mine yet.

Well, at least it's not a UFO!!!

Take good care of yourself with your hubby away!

Thank you. I found the stitch markers for sale on E Bay and I just love them, am actually using them in a couple of patterns I have on my needles right now. I just started casting on the Seafoam Towel with te Pistachio, it is taking a bit of getting used to with all the yo's and dropping them on the next row, but I am loving the yarn.

You are welcome to come and visit anytime and we can sit and knit and gab.

wow! Really nice dishcloths and yarn! You got to meet Rachel-how cool is that!!!!!

I like that Anchor Magicline cotton and now i must order some for myself. We have PNC and SNC available to us, but have never ran across magicline in the stores. It's a nice look.

Great yarns you have from Elann. You're gonna be a busy girl!!!

Thanks Mrs. B. The Anchor Magicline is very difficult to locate, it was apparently never available to the North American market, just the European and for some reason it is now being discontinued. I have managed to find some for sale on EBay and have purchased what my budget can afford as the bids sometimes get a tad on the high side.
They also have other kinds besides the self striping, one was called Dotty and I got a few skeins of that on EBay as well.
